“When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were [...]. And they were all filled with the holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim (Act 2 : 1-4).

The resurrection of Jesus was not enough ... Pentecost was needed for mission. The Holy Spirit came, Jesus kept his promise, as he always does. The Spirit has found the apostles in the Cenacle. They were all together!

“Trough the hands of your Pontiff, your Spirit came to confirm in your souls what he had already begun in Baptism. Wisdom, together with understanding of your law was given to us; Counsel was given in order to be able to distinguish the snares of the enemy which were set at the doors of various careers which the world offered us; Strength was given so as to be able to conquer them; Knowledge of your holy religion and the ways which lead to you by Piety and filial Fear were also given to us” (De Brésillac, Retreat to missionaries, p. 99. See also: p. 160-162)

I have heard several times that the Spirit is the first agent of mission, is he who leads the Church in our time and inspires us what we should say and do. I still hear, these days, the decision of the Apostles gathered in Jerusalem: "The Holy Spirit and ourselves we have indeed decided" (Acts 15: 28). In my mission rather I like to say or think, "I and the Holy Spirit we decided". I pray, even the Spirit to help me in what I do. But this is something else! Maybe should I do with the Apostles: go to the ' Cenacle ', find myself with my confreres, to discern with them, let the Spirit live in me, putting me under him and remove me from the empire the flesh (cf. Rom 8 : 8ff ).

QUESTION: Among the gifts of the Holy Spirit there is wisdom: Do in my choices, big and small, in my judgment, in organizing my life I am ' under the influence ' of the divine wisdom?
