It is important to understand the mechanism where the victims are left with the only choice of collaborating to the maximum with their offenders. Our laws and attitudes often add fuel to the fire. They attack the visible victim and protect the hidden offenders.

The city of Bangui has plunged back into a serious security crisis these days. The demons of violence, destruction and vandalism have certainly gained the upper hand. Thank God the situation is now calm. Calm returns gradually. But the damage is irreversible.
